A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan
The most mediocre time you'll ever have.

Hey there, gang!

Well, this is odd.

Today is the official 10 year anniversary of "A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan." Tom and I lost track of time. We knew it was close but not this close.

...

Yeah. Take a second and see how that feels.

Just let it soak in.

We have been pumping out our brand of broadcasting for 10 full years. I mean, with everything that we went through with starting the show and doing it as a relief to broadcasting that was no longer fun. Just getting things together and wading into the "podcast waters" was difficult enough - but then there was all of the bullsh*t of "Show #159" and everything that went along with that. I would be lying to you if I said that portion of time didn't really take a hit to my health and to my sanity. It was dark, my friends. Very, very dark. The idea that I - that we - were working with people that were so sadistic and horrible that they would try to ruin our lives only because we had created something that was better than what had come before it, was truly baffling to me. You know the story. You know what happened. You know who did it and I'll move on. I got a little fired up today talking with Jim Norton and hearing his same disdain for radio stations, the people who program them, and the BS that seems to follow them. Even NOW, we're dealing with it. Who would have thought that the same people that forced us to make the very correct decision that we wanted to do podcasting fulltime because THEY didn't believe in it - would be the same people that would now be buying and snatching up podcasts as fast as they could because it's now suddenly COOL and relevant. SMDH. Come on, man. Are you f'n kidding me? I could go on and on and ON about this and will not but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say. Thomas Vann is a wise man when he says repeatedly, "Nothing Matters." He's a wise, wise, man.
